Growing closer to the heart of God

Going to the centre of the community

We are growing!!

Beginning Sunday September 15, 2024 Shawnigan Alliance Church is transitioning to a two-service format!  God is on the move in our midst, our numbers are growing, and we desire to make space for this growth to continue.

For the past number of months, the leadership team at SAC has been in a season of discernment.  As we have prayed, listened in prayer, read the scriptures, sought advice from the Alliance denomination and considered all options, it has become clear this is the next step.

Family Worship

Families worshipping together is an essential value at Shawnigan Alliance Church. Spring 2024 saw our children in programing for the full service to afford more space in the sanctuary. (A huge shout out to our amazing Children’s Ministry Team for making this happen!!)  While this went extremely well, moving forward we want to provide space for families to be in worship together. Children’s programing will be offered in both the 9:00am and 11:00am services beginning upstairs and then dismissing later to classes.

Connection Is Vital

We want to maintain connection as a whole church family. We’ve intentionally left space for this between our services.  Those attending the 9:00am service are invited to stay after for coffee and connection and those joining us at 11am are invited to come early for coffee and connection.  The coffee will be plentiful!

Prayer

Please pray! As we take this step of faith, we ask that you continue to partner with us in prayer.

Colossians 4:2-3 “And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ…”

Join us this Sunday!!

Services at 9:00am and 11:00 am

Children's programming at both services

Our Vision

Growing Closer to the Heart of God

Going to the Centre of Community

This comes directly from Jesus' command in Scripture to:

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this; 'Love your neighbour as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."

Mark 12:30 & 31
